About The Position

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join its on-site operations team and support a positive experience for residents. The role is responsible for the general upkeep, cleanliness, and appearance of the apartment community, including landscaping, common areas, and parking lots. The position includes outdoor work in varied temperatures and seasonal snow and ice removal. Requirements

Able to shovel snow and/or clear ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas during snow season.
Able to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and push or pull up to 80 pounds.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the team dress code policy.
Able to communicate effectively and professionally with residents and co-workers.
Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Experience in irrigation.

Responsibilities

Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
Maintain parking lots, grounds surrounding buildings, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms, if applicable.
Collect and remove trash as needed.
Weed beds using appropriate tools.
Monitor the irrigation system to ensure grass areas are adequately watered.
Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required.
Report unhealthy lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
Edge around trees and landscape borders to maintain a neat appearance.
Rake grounds and blow or sweep sidewalks and parking lots as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
