About The Position

The Grooming Supervisor works at Mammoth Mountain’s Woolly’s Adventure Summit, a year-round attraction, helping create an enjoyable snow surface experience for guests. The role operates a Snow Cat on slopes and trails under the direction of an Operations/Facilities Manager. Duties include grooming existing trails, building ramps, forming tube lanes, and shaping and pushing snow. Additional hours may be available for equipment maintenance, on-mountain activations, and facility maintenance. This is a seasonal role. The hourly pay rate is $24.84 to $29.51. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
One to two full-time seasons of experience operating snow grooming equipment.
Ability to operate different sizes of snowcats, prepare and finish ramps, and construct specialized terrain for snow play zones and tubing lanes.
Strong verbal communication skills and adequate writing abilities.
Ability to solve problems in a dynamic mountain environment.
Familiarity with snow removal equipment.
Ability to work independently.
Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required in a ski resort setting.
Physical capability to lift, shovel snow, and work in varying weather conditions, including direct sun and adverse weather.

Responsibilities

Operate a Snow Cat on slopes and trails under the direction of an Operations/Facilities Manager.
Groom existing trails, build ramps, form tube lanes, and shape and push snow.
Perform equipment maintenance, create on-mountain activations, and carry out facility maintenance when additional work hours are available.
