About The Position

Join Mammoth Mountain at Woolly’s Adventure Summit, its newest year-round attraction, to help create an excellent snow-surface experience for guests. The Grooming Supervisor operates Snow Cats on slopes and trails under the direction of an Operations/Facilities Manager. The role also includes equipment maintenance, creating on-mountain activations, and facility maintenance as additional work hours are available. The position is seasonal for Winter 2026–2027 and pays $24.84 to $29.51 per hour. Employment offers may be contingent on successfully completing a background check.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One to two full-time seasons operating snow-grooming equipment.
• Ability to operate different sizes of Snow Cats.
• Ability to prepare and finish ramps and construct specialized terrain for snow-play zones and tubing lanes.
• Strong verbal communication skills and adequate writing abilities.
• Ability to solve problems in a dynamic mountain environment.
• Familiarity with snow-removal equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required in a ski-resort setting.
• Physical capability to lift, shovel snow, and work in varying weather conditions, including direct sun and adverse weather.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Snow Cats on slopes and trails.
• Groom existing trails, build ramps, form tubing lanes, and shape and push snow.
• Prepare and finish ramps and construct specialized terrain for snow-play zones and tubing lanes.
• Perform equipment maintenance.
• Create on-mountain activations.
• Perform facility maintenance.
