About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring a Groomer at Golrusk Pet Care Center. The role is part of a pet-care network offering grooming, daycare, boarding, veterinary services, training, and other services. The Groomer provides grooming services based on owner preferences and breed standards, while ensuring each animal has a calm, kind, and safe experience. The position offers $19–$23 per hour, depending on experience, plus 10% commission and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Professional equipment is provided and sharpened twice a year. The company describes its scheduling as flexible and its expectations as quality-over-quantity. The role involves working in a physically active environment with exposure to heat, cold, water, noise, fur, cleaning chemicals, wet animals, and pet accidents. The Groomer must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and safely manage large or nervous dogs. The position reports to the General Manager. Requirements
- Professional grooming experience.
- Proven experience grooming a wide range of breeds and coat types.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and safely manage large or nervous dogs.
- Ability to work in a physically active environment involving heat, cold, water, and noise.
- Time management and attention to detail.
- Customer-first mindset and clear communication with clients, teammates, and pets.
- Familiarity with pet behavior, stress signals, and safe handling practices.
- Reliability and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Love of animals and a commitment to treating each one with care.

Responsibilities
- Snip, shape, and style pets according to owner preferences or breed standards.
- Trim nails, clean ears, brush teeth, and perform other grooming and tidying tasks.
- Bathe dogs or work with bathers to prepare pets for grooming.
- Discuss grooming needs, coat care, and styles with pet owners.
- Keep the grooming station neat and tools sharp.
- Assist the front desk when pets are ready for pickup.
- Provide a calm, kind, and safe experience for every animal in care.
- Represent Destination Pet’s values of compassion, quality, and community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
