About The Position

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage customers to return. The role involves unloading and sorting merchandise, moving products to designated storage or sales-floor locations, stocking shelves, creating special sales displays, and applying price labels. The clerk must read shelf codes and merchandise labels, follow company policies and shrink guidelines, and respond courteously to customer questions and requests. The essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be over 18 years of age to operate a powered pallet stacker or straddle stacker.

Responsibilities

• Conduct yourself professionally, display a positive attitude, and speak positively about the company in the presence of customers and employees.
• Respond to customer questions and requests courteously and helpfully.

• Unload trucks, including dairy, frozen, and grocery deliveries.
• Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it according to the area of the store where it will be stocked.
• Load merchandise onto carts for placement on designated shelves in the back room or sales floor.
• Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
• Manually attach price labels to each item.
• Move merchandise from the back room to sales-floor shelves and build special sales displays.
• Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
