About The Position

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage customers to return. This includes treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, promoting an inclusive work environment, being a responsible community member, and providing the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Role-model the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The Grocery-Nite Clerk unloads and sorts merchandise, moves products to the appropriate shelves and displays, applies price labels, and assists customers courteously. The position requires following company policies and shrink guidelines and performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Conduct yourself professionally and maintain a positive attitude, speaking favorably about the company around customers and employees.
Respond to customer questions and requests courteously and helpfully.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
Unload trucks carrying dairy, frozen, grocery, and other merchandise.
Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it according to the area of the store where it will be stocked.
Load merchandise onto carts for placement on designated shelves in the back room or on the sales floor.
Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
Manually attach price labels to items.
Move merchandise from the back room to sales floor shelves and build special sales displays.
Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
