About The Position
The Grocery-Nite Clerk provides exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment, helping ensure customers return. The role supports fair and ethical treatment, an inclusive work environment, responsible community membership, and the availability of correctly priced products. The clerk is expected to model the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The position involves unloading and sorting merchandise, moving products to designated storage or sales-floor areas, stocking shelves, preparing displays, and attaching price labels. The clerk also responds courteously to customer questions and requests, follows company policies and shrink guidelines, and performs the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Conduct yourself professionally and maintain a positive attitude, speaking positively about the company around customers and employees.
- Respond courteously and helpfully to customer questions and requests.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
- Unload trucks carrying dairy, frozen, grocery, and other merchandise.
- Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it by the store area where it will be stocked.
- Load merchandise onto carts for placement on designated shelves in the back room or on the sales floor.
- Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
- Manually attach price labels to items.
- Retrieve merchandise from the back room to stock sales-floor shelves and build special sales displays.
- Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
