About The Position
The Grocery Merchandiser manages an assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, audits, and other tasks. The role involves selling, merchandising, and gaining or maintaining product distribution across grocery accounts, ensuring products are stocked and ordering them when stock is low or unavailable. The territory includes the South Suburbs and Northwest Indiana, with the position based in Chicago Heights, Illinois, within a 40–60 mile radius. The position is full-time at 32–36 hours per week and pays $18–$20 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The work requires regular travel between stores, use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication, and coordination with store teams. Merchandisers work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced retail environment, switching among stocking, reporting, and communication tasks. The role requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as maintaining a safe work environment and a professional appearance. C.A. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proof of automobile insurance.
- Reliable phone no more than five years old, with phone and internet service for daily communication.
- Ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory to complete retail tasks and audits.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions independently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
- Manage the assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, audits, and tasks.
- Sell and merchandise products and gain or maintain product distribution across accounts.
- Build strong relationships with store teams.
- Ensure client products are well stocked and order products when they are out of stock or running low.
- Work newly ordered products onto store shelves.
- Verify that client products are accurately represented on store shelves.
- Use mobile apps to complete reports, upload photos, finish tasks, and communicate.
- Travel to and between store locations in the designated territory.
- Maintain a safe working environment in stores.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress-code and attendance guidelines.
- Comply with additional guidelines established by store teams.
- Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
