About The Position

C.A. Fortune is hiring a full-time Grocery Merchandiser to manage an assigned territory in Chicago, Illinois, within a 40–60 mile radius. The role involves visiting grocery stores to merchandise products, conduct audits and surveys, complete assigned tasks, and report results using mobile technology. The merchandiser works independently with minimal supervision and communicates with store teams and company contacts throughout the day. The position is 40 hours per week and pays $20 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills. It requires regular travel between stores and the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone no more than five years old, with service and internet access for daily communication.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and assigned tasks.
• Build relationships with store teams to gain and maintain product distribution.
• Order products when they are out of stock or running low, and work newly ordered products onto shelves.
• Conduct audits in grocery stores and verify that client products are accurately represented on shelves.
• Travel between store locations within the designated territory.
• Use mobile apps to complete reports, upload photos, finish tasks, and communicate.
• Maintain a safe working environment in stores and comply with additional store-team guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
