About The Position

C.A. Fortune is hiring a part-time Grocery Merchandiser to manage an assigned territory in and around Bloomington, Illinois, within a 40–60 mile radius. The role involves visiting grocery stores, completing audits and surveys, merchandising products, and gaining and maintaining product distribution. Merchandisers ensure products are stocked and accurately represented on shelves, and order products when they are out of stock or running low.

The role requires regular use of mobile apps and provided technology for reporting, uploading photos, completing tasks, and communicating. Work involves switching among stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams, traveling between store locations, and working independently with minimal supervision. The position is 20–24 hours per week and pays $18–$20 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory.
• Valid driver license.
• Proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone, no more than five years old, with phone service and internet service for daily communication.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day.
• Ability to bend or stoop for extended periods and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and assigned tasks.
• Gain and maintain product distribution by establishing strong relationships with store teams.
• Order products and work newly delivered products onto store shelves.
• Ensure clients’ products are well stocked and order them when they are out of stock or running low.
• Conduct audits in grocery stores and verify that clients’ products are accurately represented on store shelves.
• Use mobile apps and provided technology for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
• Maintain a safe working environment in stores and comply with additional guidelines established by store teams.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
