About The Position

The Grocery Department Manager oversees the department’s daily operations, with responsibility for customer service, sales, profitability, in-stock conditions, pricing accuracy, merchandising standards, and department readiness. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role that supports associates and helps provide customers with a full, fresh, and well-organized grocery department. The manager also hires, trains, coaches, schedules, and develops grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable attendance and compliance with company safety policies and Code of Business Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Grocery Department operations, focusing on customer service, sales, and department readiness.
• Provide friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns.
• Keep shelves, displays, and aisles clean, full, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards.
• Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization.
• Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates, fostering a positive team environment.
• Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to drive results.
