About The Position

The Grocery Clerk delivers remarkable customer service by providing customers with product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role includes a variety of retail tasks involving products, customer service, and merchandising. The work environment is a typical retail store, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud and temperatures ranging from regular store temperatures to cooler areas. Minimal sitting is required. The position pays $15.65–$20.10 per hour. Individual pay within the range depends on location and factors such as skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using equipment.
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to regularly stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store.

Responsibilities

Greet vendors and build rapport with them.
Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond effectively to customer questions.
Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
Use a baler if required, provided the employee is at least 18 years old and has proper training.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
