About The Position

The Grocery Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market is responsible for delivering remarkable customer service through product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role includes a variety of retail tasks related to products, customer service, and merchandising. Team members work in a typical retail-store environment, with conditions ranging from quiet to loud and regular-temperature areas to some cooler areas. Minimal sitting is required.

Requirements

• Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Have strong listening and communication skills.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Be able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet vendors and build rapport with them.
• Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Respond effectively to customer questions.
• Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
• Use a baler if required, provided the employee is at least 18 years old and has proper training.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
