About The Position

Weavers Way is a not-for-profit, member-owned co-op guided by a People-Planet-Profit philosophy. The organization works to benefit its community, employees, and local vendors; support sustainability; and operate as a business that strengthens the people and planet around it. Its mission includes keeping dollars in the local community and supporting more than 300 local food vendors. The Grocery Clerk works at the Germantown location, helping customers find products and providing friendly, knowledgeable service. The role also involves stocking and organizing merchandise, monitoring product quality and inventory, and helping maintain a clean and safe store. This is a full-time position of 30–34 hours per week. Open availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, learn about their needs, and help them find products that suit their preferences.
Escort customers to products, answer questions, and provide recommendations to support purchasing decisions.
Provide exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
Stock shelves and displays so products are attractive, organized, and readily available.
Maintain well-stocked shelves with fresh, high-quality products.
Ensure products are accurately labeled and priced.
Monitor inventory and order products as needed to maintain appropriate stock.
Rotate inventory, remove expired products, and identify items nearing expiration for promotional sale.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
Inspect merchandise and displays regularly to ensure product quality and prevent damage.
