About The Position
Earth Fare Team Members help customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and trusted wellbeing and household products. The Grocery Clerk provides customer service in the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments and helps keep those departments stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately merchandised. The role works in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and may involve exposure to extreme cold and physical handling of merchandise.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Able to stand and remain on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of common allergies and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
- Experience in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments.
- Keep the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments well stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately merchandised.
- Maintain an attractive sales floor by following merchandising guidelines outlined by the Grocery Manager.
