About The Position

As a Grocery Clerk at Broulim’s, you will help maintain the appearance and organization of the grocery department. You will stock shelves, rotate products, assist customers, and keep aisles clean so customers can find a wide selection of products and enjoy a pleasant shopping experience. The role calls for reliability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Basic knowledge of grocery products and categories.
• Familiarity with stocking procedures and merchandising techniques.
• Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for handling products.
• Attention to detail when stocking shelves and organizing products.
• Interpersonal skills to assist customers and address inquiries.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Clear and effective communication with customers and coworkers.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and handle various tasks.
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers to support efficient store operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to identify and address issues related to stocking, inventory, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive grocery product deliveries and verify shipment accuracy.
• Stock shelves and displays, arranging and labeling merchandise neatly.
• Rotate products so older items are brought to the front and newer items are placed behind them.
• Help customers locate products, provide information, and answer inquiries.
• Maintain clean grocery aisles, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
• Monitor inventory and notify management about low-stock or damaged items.
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking during off-peak hours.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
