About The Position
Picasso Restaurant Group is hiring an experienced, dependable, and motivated Grill Cook for McKinley Café at the University of Michigan–Dearborn. The role involves preparing breakfast and lunch items in a fast-paced café environment while delivering excellent service and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, generally from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, though hours may vary.
Requirements
- Previous grill cook or short-order cooking experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and proper cooking techniques.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player.

- Experience in a high-volume café, restaurant, or corporate dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items, including eggs, burgers, sandwiches, and other grill specialties.
- Ensure food is prepared consistently and meets quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked grill station.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines.
- Assist with daily food preparation, stocking, and kitchen setup.
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch rushes.
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth daily operations.
