About The Position

White Dog Cafe, an iconic restaurant in University City for over 30 years, is seeking a Greeter to join their team. As part of the Fearless Restaurant Group, White Dog Cafe is a leader in using environmentally sustainable, organic, and local foods. The restaurant is known for its warm hospitality, inspiring food, and recently renovated spaces with charming dog décor. The seasonal menu highlights local ingredients, and the restaurant offers an all-American wine list, local craft beers, and specialty cocktails. White Dog Cafe is open for lunch, brunch, and dinner.

Requirements

  • Be happy and constantly smiling.
  • Make regulars at the neighborhood restaurant.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Desire to build knowledge of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge on hours of operation, relevant service and facility information.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a friendly manner with grace and composure.
  • Experience with Open Table Guest Center.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor into the restaurant.
  • Answer telephones, confirm reservations, and show guests to tables.
  • Understand table numbers, seat positions, and the flow of service.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and teammates.
  • Provide genuine hospitality.
