About The Position

This seasonal position assists an agricultural location with general lot duties and is expected to follow safety rules and regulations. The role is expected to run from now through likely sometime in December, with 40–80 hours per week common. Overtime is required as the season demands.

The employee helps maintain the facility grounds and equipment, performs soil sampling, and communicates daily activities, needs, and accomplishments to management. The work includes regular physical activity, such as lifting more than 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and performing preventive maintenance and other duties needed to operate an agricultural location. Additional job-related duties may be assigned, and responsibilities may be changed to meet business and organizational needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED; experience may offset this qualification.
• Prior agricultural experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical skills for daily equipment maintenance are preferred.
• Overtime is required as the season demands.
• Be able to regularly lift more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform preventive maintenance and other physical duties needed to run an agricultural location.
• Regularly walk, stand, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle, feel, and grasp.

Responsibilities

• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds, including cleaning the lot, moving snow, spraying weeds, and mowing grass.
• Ensure safety compliance.
• Assist with equipment maintenance.
• Perform soil sampling.
• Communicate daily activities, needs, and accomplishments with management.
