About The Position

Responsible for all employees and operational oversight of Grain Operations for New Vision Coop production and facilities. The role supports the co-op’s vision, mission, and business values; promotes a positive attitude; and provides outstanding, courteous customer service. It focuses on improving operational and employee efficiency across Grain Operations while maintaining grain quantity, quality, and inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in grain elevator and agronomy operations.
• Understanding of bulk material handling and equipment operation.
• Ability to analyze and repair equipment failures safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software.
• Attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support New Vision Co-op’s stated vision, mission, and business values.
• Project a positive attitude to customers and employees and provide outstanding, courteous customer service.
• Drive operational and employee efficiencies throughout the Grain Divisions.
• Coach, lead, and provide continuing education and a constant learning environment for direct and indirect reports.
• Directly supervise Grain Operations Supervisors.
• Coordinate labor and equipment requirements and needs with Operations Supervisors.
• Ensure operations employees across Grain are fully utilized to improve efficiencies and reduce labor costs.
• Manage grain quantity, quality, and inventory by location, and report issues.
• Monitor the grain inventory system and bin temperature cables by location, if applicable.
• Coordinate elevator receiving and shipping logistics and quality requirements with the Grain Department Manager and Grain Operations Supervisors.
