About The Position

Cooperative Producers, Inc. (CPI) is seeking a dedicated Grain Operations Supervisor to join their expanding team for the second shift. Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Second-shift hours are required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to speak before groups of customers and/or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous grain handling, agricultural, manufacturing, mechanical or related experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise second-shift employees, assigning work, monitoring performance, and promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Maintain the utmost safety of all persons entering the facilities and assure that all safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Oversee grain receiving, storage, drying, conditioning, handling, and loadout activities during assigned second-shift hours.
  • Monitor grain quality, condition, and inventory through proper aeration, inventory rotation, and grain management practices.
  • Monitor facilities and grain handling equipment.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and conduct routine inspections.
  • Conduct training documentation, audits, and incident reporting.
  • Enforce all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead assigned housekeeping duties inside and outside of the location and warehouse to keep all areas clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in CPI’s computer systems and operational software.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact during second-shift hours.
  • Assist with emergency response when necessary.
