About The Position

Bartlett is hiring a hands-on Grain Elevator Operator in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The role involves receiving, storing, handling, drying, blending, and loading grain, as well as monitoring stored grain conditions and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to help provide a safe environment. Operators are cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks. The position handles bulk commodities such as wheat, corn, and soybeans, and uses various grain-handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs.

The schedule is second shift, 2 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed, including weekends. Compensation starts at $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• For safety reasons, be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
• Be available to work overtime and weekends.
• Maintain a professional demeanor, including safety-consciousness, quality job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communication.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, handle, dry, blend, and load grain.
