About The Position

The Graduate Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame. This is a full-time, variable-shift position with UT Health East Texas. UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility with a 24-hour emergency department designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke-ready facility, advanced diagnostic technology, a 10-bed ICU, a maternity unit, a radiation therapy center, and a stand-alone emergency department in Gun Barrel City.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.
• Must maintain a current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
