About The Position

The New Nurse Graduate provides specialized nursing care in an in-center hemodialysis or hospital services unit as part of a patient care team. Registered nurses help ensure safe care and high-quality outcomes for every patient. Dialysis experience is not required; DCI provides paid training, including classroom sessions, job shadowing, and one-on-one skills training.

The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week. In-center registered nurses have Sundays off and do not work overnight shifts. DCI describes its clinical setting as comfortable and notes a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during dialysis, assess changes, and communicate them to physicians and families.
• Prepare dialysis machines and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform hemodialysis treatments according to facility policies and procedures.
• Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching, including relevant documentation.
• Administer and chart prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews.
• Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
• Assist with medication inventory maintenance.
• Contribute to training new staff members as directed.
• Complete additional tasks as requested.
