About The Position
MidState Medical Center is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Telemetry/Stroke Unit. This is an inpatient acute care position with a 1-year residency program. We focus on supporting our colleagues and offer opportunities to practice at the top of your license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. We provide clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as you complete your Telemetry/Stroke Unit Nurse Residency. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Work in an inpatient acute care setting on the Telemetry/Stroke Unit.
- Participate in a 1-year residency program.
- Rotate every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.
- Practice at the top of your license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices.
- Utilize clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities during the residency.
