About The Position
Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is hiring a full-time Graduate Nurse to provide patient-centered care as part of its hospital teams. Graduate Nurses may join Med/Surg, ICU, ED, BH, Women’s Health, or Cath Lab teams. The role includes comprehensive assessments, identifying patient needs, initiating appropriate interventions, and communicating with patients, families, and team members to support safe, high-quality care. Nurses are expected to adapt to a fast-paced environment, manage time, prioritize patient care, and build their clinical knowledge by asking questions and seeking feedback. New Graduate Nurses are automatically enrolled in a paid, comprehensive 12-month program covering clinical competence, culture transition, and leadership development. The program includes flexible, self-paced learning modules and knowledge checks, one-on-one support from a trained preceptor, learning on topics such as patient safety, communication, healthcare business, and change management, and a supported Capstone project focused on evidence-based practice. The teams offer mentorship, hands-on support, and opportunities for professional growth.
Requirements
- Current state RN license or Pennsylvania Temporary Practice Permit.
- Must obtain a Pennsylvania RN license within three months of hire.
- Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within six months of hire.
