About The Position

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Administrator supports the Program Director in maintaining quality graduate medical education, accreditation, and operational processes in coordination with the Prisma Health GME office. The administrator collaborates in managing and analyzing aspects of the residency program, makes recommendations, and implements changes approved by program leadership. The role prepares, coordinates, and monitors program administration using broad GME knowledge and principles, sometimes acting on behalf of the Program Director. It serves as a liaison between the Prisma Health GME office and the residency program, reporting directly to the Director of GME Administration and indirectly to the Residency Program Director. The position oversees accreditation documentation and processes; resident human resources and administrative support; recruitment; curriculum and educational activities; budgets; program data and communications; meetings; resident scheduling; policies and procedures; and wellness and social events. Depending on program size and needs, the administrator may supervise other departmental staff. This is a supervisory role that may include direct supervision, hiring or termination authority, disciplinary authority, performance management, and budget input or responsibilities; it is not considered a management-staff position.
