About The Position

GHD is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its Design & Delivery Organization. The role works alongside Senior Engineers on projects across industrial, municipal, and environmental markets. It involves designs, calculations, and modelling for specification and drawing packages supporting construction of water distribution and sewer collection systems, pumping stations, roadways, stormwater infrastructure, and other linear-focused designs. The position follows a hybrid model, with employees expected to work in the office three days a week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Nice To Haves

• Engineering In Training (EIT) certification.
• Internship experience.
• Knowledge of modeling and design software such as REVIT and PCSWMM, as applicable.
• Involvement in professional organizations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit designs recommended by Project Engineers.
• Prepare portions of project documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Research code and regulatory requirements.
• Research design options and component specifications, and document findings for Project Engineers and the Job Manager.
• Support construction activities, including site inspections, shop drawing reviews, and responses to contractors’ questions; prepare alternate designs as needed to resolve construction challenges.
• Perform analysis and design retrofits of new and existing facilities.
