About The Position

Assist Engineering Faculty with laboratories, social media, recruitment, prospective student visits, classroom presentations, and other classroom/laboratory duties. This role involves maintaining lab equipment, updating social media program accounts, participating in recruitment events on and off campus, meeting with prospective students, updating and creating new lab guides & activities for students, printing student projects & files, and potentially delivering classroom lectures as needed for faculty absences.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Required
Currently admitted to a UCM graduate degree program
3.0 or higher graduate level GPA if previous graduate level courses have been taken
2.7 or higher undergraduate level GPA if no previous graduate level courses have been taken
Background in technology-related field.
Electronics
CNC/manual mills & lathes
Strength of materials
Hydraulics & pneumatics
3D printing
Design and manufacturing software (SolidWorks, MasterCAM, Fusion, AutoCAD)
Welding
General principles of engineering.

Responsibilities

Maintaining lab equipment.
Updating social media program accounts.
Recruitment events on and off campus.
Meeting with prospective students.
Updating & creating new lab guides & activities for students.
Printing student projects & files.
Classroom lectures as needed for faculty who must be gone for a class period.
