About The Position

NHTI is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses within our Mechanical Engineering Technology A.S. program. The program educates students in the mechanical engineering field, covering design, manufacturing, and controls, with an emphasis on math and physical sciences. Coursework integrates theory and practice with extensive computer applications, including computer-aided drawing/modeling and design. This specific role involves teaching courses such as MCET 250C: Dynamics and Mechanical Design I and MFET 202C: Measurement and Control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the subject/content area or closely related field, OR a Bachelor's degree in Education and an Associate's degree in the subject/content area closely related to the teaching assignment, combined with three (3) years of related teaching or professional work experience.
  • Possess required licenses or certifications as required within the field.
  • Reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in the subject/content area, or a Master's degree in Education with twelve (12) graduate credits in the subject/content area or closely related to the teaching assignment and a Bachelor's degree in the subject/content area closely related to the teaching assignment combined with a minimum of two (2) years of related teaching and/or professional work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the assigned course using provided curriculum and instructional materials aligned with program standards.
  • Facilitate class discussions, assignments, and assessments to foster student engagement and learning.
  • Provide regular feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Maintain professional currency in the field and comply with college policies and standards.
