About The Position
The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is seeking a qualified teacher for a Grade 2/3 French Immersion position. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE) vacant position. The terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement. The posting closes at midnight on June 24th, 2026.
Requirements
- Must be available to take phone calls for interview scheduling between June 18 and July 3.
- Must provide 3 professional/supervisory, work-related references, their email addresses and their phone numbers in the SuccessFactors application.
- References must be able to speak to an applicant’s teaching abilities.
- Must be available for reference checks prior to noon on June 26.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
- Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs.
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps.
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues.
