About The Position
The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is seeking a Grade 2/3 teacher for a term position from August 1st, 2026, to February 19th, 2027. This is a 100% effective position. Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement. The posting closes at midnight on June 24th, 2026.
Requirements
- Provide 3 professional/supervisory, work-related references, their email addresses and their phone numbers in your SuccessFactors application.
- References must be able to speak to an applicant’s teaching abilities.
- AVRCE will require referees to provide reference checks prior to noon on June 26.
Nice To Haves
- Availability to take phone calls between June 18 and up to July 3 for interview appointments.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
