Apple's GPU Software team, part of the Graphics, Games, & ML organization, provides developers with the tools and APIs to leverage the GPU's power across all Apple products, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac. As a member of the GPU Kernel/Firmware team, you will contribute to the design and development of the low-level software that drives graphics, machine learning, and compute experiences across Apple's platform. This team is responsible for creating the kernel and firmware drivers that interface the operating system with the GPU on every Apple product. In this role, you will focus on designing and implementing features related to memory management, power management, asynchronous command processing, and error concealment for diverse workloads such as gaming, machine learning, and image processing. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of low-level system architecture to ensure the delivery of robust, high-performance drivers. Collaborating with a distinguished team, you will integrate the kernel and firmware into the graphics platform, optimizing graphics and compute capabilities for both iOS and macOS.
