About The Position
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Recreation and Parks, is seeking a business systems and process improvement analyst for its Office of Park Planning in Tallahassee, Florida. The analyst will create tools to gather, organize, and distribute data used by the office and other program areas. The role reviews periodic reporting processes and implements improvements using available information technology, including project management software, business intelligence software, SharePoint, and databases. The position coordinates with IT counterparts and develops technical solutions. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of business intelligence software, such as Qlik.
- Ability to write SQL queries independently.
- Ability to create complex Excel files, BI reports, and SharePoint lists or libraries.
- Knowledge of project management software or tools, such as ClearPoint.
- Experience with Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, and document workflows and other activities relating to improved operational and management practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of GIS software.
