About The Position

This is a full-time, in-office position within the Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Bureau of Communicable Diseases, focusing on HIV/AIDS. The role involves conducting information gathering sessions for policy updates, managing update schedules for various program manuals, assisting with technical writing for procurement and contract amendments, and supporting legislative and policy coordination. The position also includes submitting programmatic updates for the division's newsletter and conducting research as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts information gathering sessions with key subject matter experts to update policies, including creating manual outlines for staff input.
  • Coordinates key dates for guideline updates with the Projects and Performance Manager and the Patient Care and Treatment Access Director.
  • Manages the ongoing proposed update list and release schedule for the program’s ADAP Manual, HOPWA Manual, Ryan White Part B Service Standards, Monitoring Standards, Case Management Guidelines, and Administrative Guidelines.
  • Assists the Patient Care and Treatment Access Program Director and subject matter experts with technical writing for procurement items and contract amendments, adhering to timelines and submitting approved versions.
  • Assists the Section’s and Bureau’s Legislative and Policy Coordinator with public record requests, program rule amendments, and updates for legislative sessions.
  • Submits programmatic updates for the Division weekly newsletter.
  • Conducts research and advises the Patient Care Director as necessary.
