About The Position

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Waste Management is hiring a full-time OPS Government Analyst I in Tallahassee, Florida. The position performs professional and administrative work under the direction of the Operations & Management Consultant Manager for the Financial Management Program and the Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP). The analyst will work independently and with colleagues, entering and reconciling invoice and payment information across department systems, uploading documentation, and completing other assigned duties and projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or a combination of post-secondary education and verifiable related experience totaling two years.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods.
• Ability to organize data into a logical format for reports, documents, and other materials.
• Ability to use problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to learn computer software programs.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Key invoices into Ariba on Demand (AOD) and the Storage Tank Contamination Monitoring Database (STCM).
• Upload documentation into Oculus/LaserFiche.
• Make adjusting entries to STCM to match AOD.
• Use AOD to research purchase order payments and balances.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
