The Office of Energy (OOE) is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where staff work together as a team to develop public policies and programs that support Florida for a more diverse, stable, reliable, and resilient energy portfolio. Using available state and federal funds, the OOE develops and manages energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy education, alternative fuel technology, and similar energy programs throughout the state. OOE is comprised of two separate, but interconnected teams: The Grants Team and The Policy Team. The Grants Team utilizes state and federal funds to develop, implement, oversee, and monitor programs that support energy efficiency and resilience in local communities across the state. The Team adheres to specific state and federal guidance, ensuring compliance is met by OOE and all subrecipients awarded funding. The Policy Team works closely together as all of Florida’s energy sectors are interdependent, with the potential to impact our water, air, and our quality of life. Each Policy Team member is responsible for a specific area.
