About The Position

The Governance & Operational Excellence Internship is a 10.5-week, full-time undergraduate internship running from May 24, 2027, through August 4, 2027. It is hybrid, with three days generally spent in the Hartford, Connecticut office (usually Tuesday through Thursday) and two days working remotely from home, the office, or another location of the intern’s choice. Relocation assistance may be available to eligible candidates. The role pays $26 per hour for 40 hours per week. Interns do not work on July 4, a company holiday, and receive two days of paid leave. The Configuration Governance team establishes and maintains enterprise-wide standards, controls, and quality practices that support accurate, consistent configuration processes across Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare businesses. It partners with business and technology stakeholders to strengthen governance and compliance oversight, improve quality assurance, and promote operational excellence. Its work supports accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across healthcare operations. The intern will analyze data and validate information; create and maintain reports, dashboards, and operational metrics; assess quality assurance practices, audit results, and performance measures; collaborate with project managers and cross-functional stakeholders; and support process-improvement initiatives. The role also provides exposure to governance frameworks, compliance controls, operational standards, enterprise-wide initiatives, and technology and business tools used for reporting, analysis, and process improvement. The internship includes business-contributing projects, community service, professional development workshops, mentorship and networking, and interaction with senior leaders. Corporate interns have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future CVS Health role. Work visa sponsorship is not available, including CPT, OPT, and F-1 visa programs.
