Transportation – Undergraduate Internship – Summer 2027
About The Position
The Transportation Intern at Lowe’s will gain hands-on experience with transportation and logistics operations across a large U.S. supply chain network. The intern will work alongside transportation and logistics professionals on strategies for moving goods from suppliers to distribution centers and stores, including freight cost optimization and delivery performance improvement. This is part of Lowe’s 10-week summer internship program, scheduled for May 24 through July 30, 2027. The internship is based at Lowe’s headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina, where the intern will collaborate with teams and contribute to real-world projects. The role provides exposure to transportation operations, carrier management, routing, procurement, logistics technology, and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
Nice To Haves
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report key data metrics to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Relevant internship or experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
- Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
Responsibilities
