About The Position

Pall Corporation, one of Danaher’s operating companies and a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation, and purification, is seeking a US Export Controls Lead. This role is responsible for managing the company's global Export Compliance program, focusing on developing and implementing improvement processes for export screening, licensing, and classification, with a particular emphasis on ITAR compliance worldwide. The position reports to the Director, Global Trade Compliance and is part of the Global Trade Compliance team. This is a fully remote position. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for US export controls (EAR and ITAR), providing guidance on export strategy, compliance, and activities. You will act as a business partner to support strategic decisions such as manufacturing and R&D footprint, OEM partnerships, product launches, and mergers & acquisitions. Collaboration with site leaders is key to ensuring robust internal controls, especially for EAR and ITAR compliance, are integrated into operational processes. You will also analyze and interpret compliance requirements related to U.S. export regulations including EAR, OFAC, and ITAR, and will be responsible for drafting and submitting TAA’s, MLA’s, and all US export license applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a trade or compliance related field is preferred
  • 8+ years of senior functional / professional experience in export compliance with a focus on ITAR
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. export regulations required, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and regulations of other applicable partnering government agencies
  • Experience with identifying and assigning export classifications and with submissions of export license applications
  • Must have strong executive presence and confidence in advising business leaders in regard to trade and compliance issues.
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
  • Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if needed, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert to provide guidance on export strategy, compliance, and activities related to US export controls including EAR and ITAR.
  • Serve as a business partner to enable long-reaching strategic decisions (e.g., manufacturing and R&D footprint, OEM partnerships, product branding and launching, and mergers & acquisitions)
  • Work collaboratively with site leaders to ensure robust internal controls (particularly concerning EAR and ITAR compliance) are integrated into operational processes and procedures.
  • Analyze and interpret requirements for compliance as they relate to: Export Administration Regulations (EAR) of the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) of the U.S. Department of State.
  • Draft and submit TAA’s, MLA’s, and all US export license applications.
