About The Position

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Global Supply Manager to own end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier management, and delivery of datacenter switches and optics spanning 400G through 1.6T and beyond. The role partners with engineers and technical teams to define commodity strategy, build technology roadmaps, maintain approved vendor lists, and secure supply for SpaceX’s fast-paced infrastructure builds. The manager will negotiate commercial agreements, accelerate supplier delivery, actively manage inventory, and optimize cost, quality, speed, and supply chain resilience. The position calls for strong commercial acumen and success procuring hyperscale networking hardware in an ambiguous, high-velocity environment. It is based onsite in Palo Alto, California, and requires domestic and international travel as needed. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations. SpaceX is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers reasonable accommodation for the application and interview process.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements covering pricing, volume, co-development commitments, early access to pre-production silicon and optics, and priority allocation during shortages.
  • Use predictive analytics, AI-driven demand forecasting, and real-time supply chain visibility tools to anticipate and mitigate geopolitical, capacity, yield, and technology-transition risks.
  • Drive cost leadership through value engineering, should-cost modeling, and long-term pricing agreements while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
  • Lead supplier innovation programs relating to custom form factors, power efficiency, higher-density optics, and open standards.
