We are currently looking for a candidate interested in the position of Manager Global Transitions in charge of work transfer from different sources for our global manufacturing team. The candidate will have the responsibility to lead a team of project coordinators that manages various projects of supplier change on a wide variety of product families and suppliers. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment and will need to demonstrate adaptability. The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Aeronautical Maintenance, Aeronautical Manufacturing, Aerospace
  • 10+ years pertinent experience in Project management/ Operations/Engineering/Supply Management
  • Demonstrated leadership skill
  • Demonstrated aptitude for team work
  • Autonomous, organized & efficient
  • Good communication abilities
  • Knowledge of SAP and procurement processes will be an asset
  • Basic knowledge of English is required to understand specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms from international organizations.
  • The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of project coordinators and ensure complete governance of transition projects in order to meet timeline, budget and other strategic aspects link with the source change
  • Determine the financial viability of identified projects from our Sourcing team in order to achieve our goals for cost reductions and increase of supply chain performance
  • Plan and execute supplier change projects (transition projects) for purchase or manufacture parts following our internal qualification process for new suppliers while respecting the allocated time and budget
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Laboratory, Inspection, etc...) in order to resolve various technical issues impacting transitions and deliveries
  • Lead project reviews with internal or external supplier and follow-up the parts development.
  • May required meetings on different schedule then day shift (ex: evening)
  • May requires occasional travel
