About The Position

The Hunter Douglas Global Management Trainee Program (GMT) is a 10-month comprehensive Leadership Development program designed to equip participants with the tools and experiences necessary to become future leaders within the organization. The program offers a holistic view of the business, immersing Trainees in the company culture, industry, and daily operations. Participants will join a cohort of ambitious peers, learn from Hunter Douglas leaders, and contribute to impactful projects. Each Trainee is paired with a Mentor for guidance and integration. The program includes opportunities to connect with the Executive Leadership Team and leaders from various business units and global regions. This role is considered hybrid, requiring full mobility.

Requirements

  • Anticipated graduation date no later than June 2026 with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities through extracurricular activities (job experiences, internships, student clubs, organizations, volunteer work).
  • Willingness to relocate to one of the major location hubs (Atlanta, GA, Broomfield, CO, or Irvine, CA).
  • Readiness to tackle new challenges in diverse environments, including front-line roles in the field, manufacturing plants, and regional offices.
  • Flexibility to remain mobile and transition as needed throughout the four-month project and/or during final placement.
  • Full mobility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete three weeks of onboarding, including local hub orientation and a Global Induction at HQ covering company strategy, culture, products, sales channels, and problem-solving.
  • Participate in five months of Field Training, rotating through key areas of the value chain such as Sales, Supply, Logistics, Product, and Customer Service, gaining hands-on experience in daily operations and project work.
  • Engage in one week of Leadership and Methodology training to develop a unified system-thinking approach.
  • Undertake a four-month individual project, delivering tangible and measurable results by applying methodology skills and technical knowledge.
  • Present the capstone project to Leadership and receive feedback.
  • Transition into a full-time role upon program completion, supporting continued leadership development and long-term career growth.
  • Be prepared for initial placement in areas such as Sales, Operations (Supply, Logistics, Procurement), Product, or Functional roles.
