About The Position

The Global Expansion Associate will support Fanatics Collectibles’ global growth initiatives across Asia Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LatAm), and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), by contributing research, analysis, and execution support across priority international markets. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional who is eager to gain hands-on exposure to global strategy, market entry planning/prioritization, and cross-functional execution. As part of the Global Expansion team, you will assist in evaluating new market opportunities, tracking performance in existing markets, and preparing insights and materials that inform leadership decision-making. This role requires flexibility to work across time zones, including occasional early morning or evening calls with international stakeholders. Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans; a global partner network with approximately 900 sports properties, including major national and international professional sports leagues, players associations, teams, colleges, college conferences and retail partners, 2,500 athletes and celebrities, and 200 exclusive athletes; and over 2,000 retail locations, including its Lids retail stores. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, International Relations, or a related field.
  • 3 plus years of full-time work experience in consulting, finance, strategic planning, or operations within a multinational organization.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possessing strong business acumen; proven ability to develop innovative ideas, create solutions, and implement them effectively.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with all parts of the organization.
  • A desire to work in a small-team, start-up environment with frequent exposure to senior leadership.

  • Professional working proficiency in Japanese, Spanish, or other languages relevant to global expansion efforts

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to support international expansion efforts, including market sizing, consumer trends, regulatory considerations, and competitive landscape analysis
  • Assist in identifying and assessing new international market opportunities as well as growth levers in existing markets
  • Support the development of market entry assessments, including operational considerations, GTM strategies, and investment needs
  • Track industry and category trends relevant to trading cards, collectibles, and sports entertainment globally, and summarize key takeaways for the team
  • Assist in preparing strategic presentations and briefing materials for leadership review
  • Coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams to support international planning and execution efforts
  • Maintain and update the international expansion roadmap, tracking expansion priorities, stage of market development (e.g. set-up, build, transform), and key milestones across priority markets
  • Support the development and maintenance of KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance across international markets
  • Work closely with internal teams (GTM/commercial, marketing, product, finance, legal, HR and tech) to support execution of international expansion initiatives
  • Assist in evaluating potential partners, distributors, and commercial opportunities in international markets
  • Support ongoing coordination with regional and international stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution
