About The Position

Galanis Cataract & Laser Eye Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible, fellowship-trained Glaucoma Surgeon to join its established and growing ophthalmology practice in St. Louis, Missouri. Founded by John Galanis, MD, the practice has a longstanding reputation for patient care, surgical excellence, and strong relationships across the medical and optometric community. The incoming surgeon will develop a busy glaucoma and anterior segment practice supported by an established patient base, immediate clinical and surgical volume, and a regional referral network. The role includes care for a broad range of glaucoma conditions and opportunities to perform MIGS procedures, tube shunts, traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery. The surgeon will work with experienced clinical and surgical support staff in a collaborative physician environment with modern diagnostic and surgical technology. The practice offers the opportunity to expand glaucoma services throughout the region and build long-term professional and surgical growth. Compensation includes a competitive guaranteed base salary for two years and a production bonus opportunity, along with a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME allowance, comprehensive health and benefits package, professional liability coverage, and licensing and credentialing support.

Requirements

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in ophthalmology.
Fellowship-trained in glaucoma.

Responsibilities

Develop a glaucoma and anterior segment practice within an established ophthalmology practice.
Provide clinical and surgical care for a broad mix of glaucoma conditions.
Perform MIGS procedures, tube shunts, traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery.
Contribute to the continued growth of glaucoma services throughout the region.
