About The Position

Galanis Cataract & Laser Eye Center, part of EyeCare Partners, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Glaucoma Surgeon to join its established and growing ophthalmology practice in St. Louis, Missouri. Founded by John Galanis, MD, the practice has a longstanding reputation for exceptional patient care, surgical excellence, and strong relationships throughout the medical and optometric community. The surgeon will develop a busy glaucoma and anterior segment practice supported by an established patient base, immediate clinical and surgical volume, and a strong regional referral network. The role offers a broad mix of glaucoma pathology and procedures, including MIGS, tube shunts, traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery. The incoming surgeon will work with experienced clinical and surgical support staff in a collaborative physician environment equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical technology, with opportunities to expand regional glaucoma services and achieve long-term professional and surgical growth. Compensation includes a competitive guaranteed base salary for two years, production bonus opportunity, and a commencement/sign-on bonus. The package also includes relocation assistance, a CME allowance, comprehensive health and benefits coverage, professional liability coverage, licensing and credentialing support, and experienced clinical and operational infrastructure.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible in ophthalmology.
Fellowship-trained in glaucoma.

Responsibilities

Develop a busy glaucoma and anterior segment practice.
Provide clinical and surgical care for a broad range of glaucoma pathology.
Perform MIGS procedures, tube shunts, traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery.
Contribute to the continued growth of glaucoma services throughout the region.
