About The Position

Galanis Cataract & Laser Eye Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible, fellowship-trained Glaucoma Surgeon to join its established and growing ophthalmology practice in St. Louis, Missouri. The practice was founded by John Galanis, MD, and has a longstanding reputation for patient care, surgical excellence, and strong relationships across the medical and optometric community. The incoming surgeon will develop a busy glaucoma and anterior segment practice supported by an established patient base and regional referral network. The opportunity includes immediate clinical and surgical volume, a broad mix of glaucoma pathology, MIGS procedures, tube shunts and traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery. The surgeon will work with experienced clinical and surgical support staff in a collaborative physician environment and have access to modern diagnostic and surgical technology. There is also an opportunity to grow glaucoma services throughout the region and pursue long-term professional and surgical growth. The compensation package includes a competitive guaranteed base salary for two years, production bonus opportunity, a commencement/sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME allowance, a comprehensive health and benefits package, professional liability coverage, and licensing and credentialing support. The practice also provides experienced clinical and operational infrastructure.

Requirements

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in ophthalmology.
Fellowship-trained in glaucoma.

Responsibilities

Develop a busy glaucoma and anterior segment practice.
Provide glaucoma care across a broad mix of glaucoma pathology.
Perform MIGS procedures, tube shunts and traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery.
Contribute to the growth of glaucoma services throughout the region.
