About The Position

The ATE Auto Glass Technician is a full-time position responsible for day-to-day service operations and building good rapport with customers through open communication. The technician repairs, replaces, and installs vehicle glass, and performs ADAS calibrations for all makes and models. The role requires critical thinking and troubleshooting in a fast-paced work environment with a strong sense of urgency.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of automotive glass experience.
• Strong technological skills, including Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain productive and work with a strong sense of urgency in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods in automotive shop environments.
• Ability to read and understand factory and non-factory service information.
• Ability to program vehicles using factory or non-factory software.
• Ability to diagnose, correct, and verify customer vehicle concerns.
• Ability to explain and communicate diagnoses verbally and in writing.
• A safe driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Energetic, motivated, and positive approach, with a passion for the industry and commitment to representing the ATE brand.

Responsibilities

• Inspect windshields and other auto glass to estimate repairs.
• Repair auto glass, including removing damaged areas and applying adhesives to secure replacement pieces.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain repair authorization and file claims on their behalf.
• Measure glass pieces to ensure they are cut to the correct size and shape.
• Install windshields and other vehicle glass panels using tools such as an orange bat or extractor.
• Apply glue to the interior surface of the windshield and position it in the vehicle frame.
• Clean the windshield’s interior surface with a special solution to remove manufacturing residue.
• Perform ADAS calibrations for all makes and models.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
