About The Position

Ascend Staffing is recruiting Glass Packers for a glass packing company in Winlock, Washington. The position involves handling and moving materials, monitoring glass for defects, observing the production process, and using forklifts to move items. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience is required. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with weekly pay. Workers must pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for THC, and a pre-employment physical. The job requires the ability to grip up to 70 pounds with both hands and work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends.

Requirements

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including THC testing; the client has zero tolerance for THC or other drugs.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and grip up to 70 pounds with both hands.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to follow directions.
Must be able to work weekends and both day and night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

Move and lift materials safely throughout the facility.
Follow health and safety regulations while operating equipment.
Wear required safety gear, including headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate clothing.
Complete assigned tasks quickly and safely.
Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials.
Follow project instructions from managers or supervisors.
Adhere to company safety rules and policies.
Monitor glass for defects as it moves through the facility.
Observe glass production and ensure it is being made correctly.
Use forklifts to move items.
