About The Position

The Packer completes the packing process for control panels and accompanying accessories for shipment according to customer-specific requirements. The role coordinates with Panel Inspection and the Kele shipping department to prepare deliveries to customers. The Packer assumes responsibility for packing and shipping coordination, checks panels and packing materials, organizes inspected jobs, and moves prepared enclosures to the correct locations. The role may also cross-train as a Mechanical Assembler to prepare panel enclosures for the panel build process.

• High school education level.

Responsibilities

• Assume direct responsibility for packing and coordinating shipping activities.
• Visually inspect and pack panels for daily shipments.
• Track and report inventory levels for panel packing supplies.
• Examine stock packing material to verify that it conforms to specifications.
• Communicate product inaccuracies to the appropriate manager.
• Construct panel crating when appropriate to protect enclosure shipments.
• Organize jobs in the inspection staging area by panel type (stock, C, C+).
• Verify that the correct parts and quantities have been received and that proper paperwork is present.
• Move prepared panel enclosures to the correct location.
• Cross-train as a Mechanical Assembler to prepare panel enclosures for the panel build process.
• Become proficient in navigating and updating status changes in the panel plan.
• Keep the work area clean and in 5S condition.
